General Health Services

The health of our students is a top priority at our school, especially during these times of COVID. As a result, all classrooms throughout the campus have been equipped with touchless hand sanitizing features and plexiglass protection at students’ desks. Water fountains throughout the campus have safety locks and all student restrooms have been installed with touchless features. Restrooms are professionally sanitized throughout the day and all on campus are required to wear masks at all times.

Moreover, Epiphany Catholic School has also procured the services of a full-time on campus registered nurse who readily assists the health needs of students and employees on campus, closely monitors campus wellness, and interacts with parents and employees to facilitate adherence to required school health safety protocols.

COVID Protection

Epiphany Catholic School is committed to establish as much as possible protection from the COVID virus through resources and protocols which it has put in place. As a result, the number of confirmed COVID cases of students, administration, faculty and staff throughout this past school year has been minimal and none have been linked to the contracting of the virus on campus.

To minimize the spread of COVID, all classrooms throughout the campus have been equipped with touchless hand sanitizing features and plexiglass protection at students’ desks. Water fountains throughout the campus have safety locks and all student restrooms have been installed with touchless features. Restrooms are professionally sanitized throughout the day and all on campus are required to wear masks at all times.

Moreover, each morning all parents must complete a Health Survey for their child which screens for COVID related symptoms and is accessed through a CP Mobile App. Once submitted, the school is automatically and immediately alerted should there be any concerning results. Under those circumstances, the school’s registered nurse, establishes immediate contact with a parent of the child to verify information and provide the necessary steps that need to be taken before the child is to safely come on campus. Following CDC and archdiocesan guidelines, our nurse also investigates each confirmed COVID case and identifies students or others on campus deemed close contacts. Anyone qualifying as a close contact is required to quarantine as indicated to maximize campus safety. Students who travel internationally, nationally or within the state are also required to quarantine as specified to optimally safeguard the well-being of all at school.

Allergies & Extraordinary Medical Needs

Aside from general health services, Epiphany Catholic School provides assistance within the parameters of its abilities to students with extraordinary medical needs such as allergies or other conditions requiring specialized attention. Parents are expected to communicate the extraordinary medical needs of their child to the school office. The registered school nurse will be made aware of such cases and be in close contact with pertinent parents as needs arise to maximize the health of those children.
